Signature of Memorandum of Understanding

Two world leading aviation organisations have formed an agreement to develop new business opportunities in the international aviation market place.


Airservices Australia and Avitech AG, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the recent air traffic control (ATC) conference in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Under the MOU, Airservices and Avitech have agreed to work together in the air traffic management (ATM) aeronautical information systems (AIS) and air traffic control (ATC) applications areas.

Some of the ways they will achieve this include:

• uniting the operational and technical skills of the two organisations to provide products and services that offer increased value to aviation customers;
• identifying global market opportunities;
• creating new products and services;
• sharing intellectual knowledge;
• preparing joint consortium bids in suitable teaming arrangements and entering contracts with third party suppliers;


Airservices Australia is a global leader in the provision of air navigation services. It operates, develops and procures systems and components for that purpose. Airservices has developed and introduced its own systems and products for enhanced air traffic management in the Australian air space environment and aims to further promote these products commercially in the international market.

Avitech, a German company, is a supplier of information and communication products, components and systems for ATC, aeronautical information systems (AIS) and Air Traffic Management (ATM). Avitech is a company with a proven capability and track record in the international aviation market.
